AMCP's mission is to empower its members to serve society by using sound medication management principles and strategies to improve health care for all.

 

Managed care pharmacy principles are based upon the use of scientific evidence to achieve healthy outcomes, while making the best use of money spent on medications and their management. In the purest sense, all people working in healthcare can be thought of as 'managing care.' Every day, the importance of managed care pharmacy is increasing, even more now that healthcare reform is taking place. Our student chapter seeks to enhance the professionalism of pharmacy students and prepare us for the many different career opportunties available to pharmacists.
